The patrol was called on Monday by the long missing Brian "Honda Man" Butts. He had been long on the road and was severely itching to blow the cobwebs out of his machine and work the arm muscles before the May 27th track day. The late sleeping Jeff "The Polisher" Hiroshima said he would roll out of bed early for a change and join us. Tom "Red Leader" Kohrs volunteered to fly point and draw off the much feared Black and Whites. There were rumors that Tom Brady and Calvin Douglas might put in appearances, but alas, it was not to be.

This was a light patrol with many of the promised pilots
missing roll call. We knew we could be out numbered should we come
across a patrol of P-cars or the dreaded plastic C-cars, but duty called and
our fearless pilots fired up their engines and took off at the crack of
dawn. In addition to the pilots, there were two navigators along to guide the patrol Siew Pheng and Tara. The flight plan was to patrol Georgetown Road to Mosquito Ridge, Wentworth Road and back south on Ice House Road. |

The brave patrol went as deep into the mountains as they could but severe icing (6-8" snow on the road) forced them to turn back and seek warmer climes and fewer road hazards. The way became crowded as they entered civilization again with the many slow moving family haulers and rolling gun racks filled the roads. The pilots now following "Honda Man" took refuge in the local Honda establishment, there the salesman in the Brian came out as he worked the product line on the other pilots |
