New Business
New meeting place - Andiamo's has been recommended. If we move there we will have use of a private room, but with a minimum group charge of $120 for the night, so people will need to order food or drinks to make the minimum. The 4th Tuesday is not always available so so we are looking at moving the date. The present suggestion is to move it to the 1st Monday of the month after January. More discussion will be at the November meeting.
Elections: Tom Brady withdrew his nomination for club president, that left Jeffery Hiroshima for secretary as the only candidate. Since he was unopposed, he will be the new club secretary be default.
As of January 2002 the chapter officers will be:
President - Al Terpak
Vice President - Hrant Kouyoumdjian
Secretary - Jeffery Hiroshima
Treasurer - Kirk Johnson
Driving School: GGC BMWCCA will be holding a track school at Laguna Seca on 9-10 February. Given the time of year and the current economic climate, there is a good chance that non-BMW's may be able to attend. Sign up early as non-BMW's are pulled from the wait list in the order their payments are received. For more details please refer to their website: http://www.ggc-bmw-cca.org/DrivingEvents/DrivingSchools/LSeca0202/Index.htm
The next meeting will be held at Fabrication Specialties. Tom Brady's rebuild NSX will finally be unveiled after 10 months of repairs. Fabrication Specialties will provide snacks for the meeting.
Meeting location:
The Metro Oven and Grill is beginning to pick up in popularity so it's suitability as a future meeting site was brought into question. Justin Hall will be looking for alternate sights. Anyone with suggestions should contact him directly. If there is a change of venue for the next meeting it will be announced no later than the 15th.
