New Meeting Location
The Lions Gate Hotel in McClellan Air base has been chosen as the new meeting place. This is the old officers club. Comes with room at no charge if no one else has booked the room. Room is very quiet and private. The painting of Al hanging over the fireplace was a very nice touch the restaurant provided at no extra charge.
Thunderhill
The final expenses ended up being more than we will like. Still some discussion on how much profit was realized. The budget says we should have made ~$1200, the bank account has only increased a few hundred.
Saved coolers, etc from event. No written complaints on the way we served/presented food at the event. Budget spent on food was only $260-270, saved $600 compared to purchasing lunch from the track.

Castle Air Base Drive
John Keller is pulling together a drive to the Castle Airbase Museum on the 23rd of November. Current plans will be to leave from Sacramento about 6:30 in the morning and take back roads on the way down. Those wishing to go but want to sleep in can take Hwy 99 leaving about 8:30 and still meet up with the rest of the group about 11:00 at the museum. See the website for details.
Christmas Dinner
The annual Christmas dinner will be at Christophe's on the 13th of December. The cost will be ~$75 per person with tax and tips. The club will subsidize $15 per person/$30 per couple. Final details will be out in the next few weeks.

Other Track Events
There are 3 track events coming up in November. BMW will be at Sears Point the first weekend, NC Racing has Thunderhill on the 16th and 17th, then Tracknuts will be at Thunderhill on the 23rd.
Tires at Pettitt
Bruce has some brand new Dunlop tires are at Pettitt’s (Bruce Pettitt’s workshop) that we can probably get for a song. Bruce is very attentive, problem is that it is not opened on Saturday. Fritz said that we can pre-arrange with Bruce to have work done on Saturday (had his timing belt changed out on a Sat) – he will treat request on a case by case basis.
Club Officer Nominations
Time of the year to look for new club officers. The floor is now open for nominations. Currently Joe has volunteered for the treasurer position. No other officer nominations have been put forward yet. Please come forward to do your contribution for the club.
NSXPO 2003
Hotel search – checked out 4 hotels, Sheraton Petaluma, 4 Points at San Rafael, Napa Marriot and Embassy Suites at Marin. Marriot cost $189 due to peak time. Sheraton, just opened in June 2002 @ $159, food was good but price is high. 4 Points @ $65 a night – borderline and old. Embassy Suites @ $124. All within 0.5mile from each other, about 13 miles from track. We settle on reserving Embassy Suites for 100 rooms, pending contract with them, pending contract with Searspoint. Oct 9-12 (Registration starts Oct 8 night)
