The March meeting of the Sacramento Chapter of the NSXCA
was held on the 25th. The next meeting is scheduled for the 22nd of April at
7:00pm at the Race Place Motorsports

· Nothing has been planned. Tour on West Coast? Fabrication Specialties?
· NSXPO ‘03
o Looking at San Jose Speed ring for karting
o Concours at Searspoint on Friday
o Ken Gladden volunteered to pay for the NSXPO site for 6 months, do the data base behind it. Maybe Ken Sax can accept the transition
o Getting small raffle type sponsorship, not the large items. Could be the economy that is holding the sponsors up.
o
· Run with Northern California Racing Club. Need to pay for a 1-time NCRC membership to participate. Run timed event over lunch. Generally, they have racing type mentality. But they have the same set of instructors?? They are putting up one event for S2000 at Leguna Seca.

o Helped introduce NSX to the USA in 1991.
o We can do an autocross event at Searspoint at the same time.
o They do a 1-day performance driving class in the driver’s own car. Offer 2-3 times per month. Instructors within the club may be interested in taking the class
o Suggest to offer training to instructors on Friday – prior to track on Sat, or train the trainer 15-30 instructors.
o Can also turn the whole event to Jim Russell to organize/instruct for the 2-day event
o They don’t spend a lot of time in the classroom.
o Discussed about Karting, they can bring about 20 carts and run separately on the track. One of the past NSXPO events (Texas?) had a Karting event and it was highly successfully/sought after. How it’s organized, is key. Hrant enquired about booking a track for Karting for the whole day. Looking at Oct 10 for Karting on Friday.
· Kirk Johnson – new business. Want to do next meeting as a Karting event. It’s at Bradshaw. Opened till 10pm at night. (Race Place Motorsports.com 916-368-Race). Get a meeting room there. There is a subway there. Tom Brady has another guest – Denise Johansen. USAC official for Indy 500 (for 28 years). Main Steward for many events.
· Later May BBQ date will be at Tom Brady’s house
· Comptech Day? Invite them to Tom’s house?
