Minutes of the Club Meeting on 27 February 2007.

Date/Place: Tuesday February 27th . Montiko's Grille and Pizzeria on 2989 Arden Way, Sacramento, at about 7:00 PM

We had quite a large turnout for the meeting.  It was the largest group ever to attend a normal, non-event meeting.  I didn't get the exact count, but the number of attendees was over 25 and perhaps over 30.  The night was a busy one and I will summarize the events that took place.

The first order of business was election of club officers since at the last meeting, we were all under the impression the Fritz was the only remaining officer.  The question of if we needed to have an election was brought up and after discussion, the group decided to hold the scheduled election.

The next discussion was about whether the elections would be for individual positions within the club or as a slate as Steve had recommended.  Again, after a series of discussions, the decision was made by the group to proceed with the slate approach.

Elections were than held between the 2 slates.  The slates were:

Tom - President
Jeff - VP
TBD - Sec.
Fritz - Treas.

Hrant - President
Steve - VP
Jeff - Sec.
Fritz - Treas.

Slate 2 won the election.  So as it stands, Hrant, Steve, Fritz and I am the current club officers.  The term of the positions are to be one year and in Feb. 2008, we will have the next election.

Fritz reports that there was no financial transactions during the past month and the club account balance stands at $4741.48.

Hrant asks the group about the monthly meeting format and it is agreed upon that once a quarter, we will try to have a Sat. lunch meeting instead of Tues. night.

Hrant asks Shad to explain what has happened at Comptech that has led to the closing of the current business.  Shad explains that due to disagreements amongst Comptech's  investors, Comptech is shutting down and trying to pay off its creditors.  Shad really didn't know what would happen to Comptech, but hinted that the engine shop may eventually survive.

Tom announced that Honda will be sponsoring 5 corral during the ALMS season starting at Sebring.  A limited number of NSX owners will be able to participate at each of the 5 locations.  When ALMS is at Laguna Seca in Oct.  There will be an opportunity for NSXCA members to join in the fun.  This will be not be a free event for those chosen.

The group then talked about some events since the weather is getting better.  A weekend coffee get together was suggested along with a possible picnic at Rancho Seca.  More details to follow.

We closed the meeting with a discussion for a location for next month's meeting.  It was decided to meet in the Roseville area at a location TBD.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 27, somewhere in Roseville.  I will send out a reminder notice as the date approaches.
