We once again had a good turnout for the monthly meeting with 16 members present. Calvin and company found us a nice location at Mark & Monica's Sports Grille in Granite Bay.
The meeting open with Doug Gale of Trackmasters dropping by and explaining how his track program operates. He fielded a number of questions from owners who have not tracked their NSXs yet. After that discussion was over, Hrant announced that we will be targeting Friday May 11, as a track day focused on novice NSX drivers. This day is a regular Trackmaster event to be held at Thunderhill. Thunderhill is located around 80miles north of Sacramento along I-5. It is an excellent track for the first time track driver since there are few walls and plenty of run-off areas. We hope to see many of you there on May 11th. For those of you who have never tracked their NSXs, this presents an opportunity to experience what Honda designed your car to do and to learn to drive your car near your limits. There will be plenty of instructors there who will provide valuable tips on car control.
Fritz gave the treasury report. The club started the month with $4741.41 and ended the month at $4405.75 The expenditures were for the food tab at the previous month's meeting.
The club's officers met in Rio Vista on 3/25 to discuss the future direction of the club and to go over ground rules for the officers. There was some discussion as to the best method for communication to disiminate information to the members along with an updated look for the Sacramento's club website I will be following up on this very soon.
There was a very successful coffee meet at Starbucks in Roseville earlier on 3/4. Everyone who attended had a good time and we will try to do these once a month at rotating locations in the greater Sacramento area.
Several members also attended the Euro Sunday event held on the Last Sunday of each month. Rob was there with his shiny car to lead the pack of 8 NSXs. From the description, this ahs turned into a good sized local event with many different car marques represented.
Next up for the meeting was a list of planned up coming events. Many of these have been described in other emails sent out to the local list.
